George Marsh Mount married my 3rd cousin 3x removed Mary Jane Raines on 15 Oct 1877 at St Mary The Virgin in Elham, Kent.

They had 10 children, including Arthur Frederick Mount mentioned in the above article. Two other sons, Albert Frank Mount and Percy Victor Mount also served.

Albert Frank Mount was a Private in the Royal Army Service Corps M/273447 from 12 Jan 1916 thru 10 Nov 1918, he survived the war. He married Ivy Waterman in Cheriton, Kent on 5 Oct 1910. We know that Albert was 5 feet 6 1/2 inches tall, weighed 134 pounds with blue eyes and light brown hair. He lived at 3 Richmond Street in Cheriton.

Percy Victor Mount was a Lance Corporal in the 7th Battalion of the East Surrey Regiment and was killed in action on 9 April 1917. Percy had married Annie Elizabeth Johnson on 11 Oct 1913 at Saltwood, Kent in Ss Peter & Paul.

Arthur Frederick Mount, the youngest child, served in the 2nd Kent Cyclist Battalion, 1046 and later the Machine Gun Corps as a Corporal, 43609. He was killed in action on 21 Mar 1918.

From the article of 15 relatives, those I know to be related to me are as follows: Sydney Pegden is likely Sidney Thomas Pegden, my 4th cousin 2x removed, who was killed on 6 Nov 1918. William Pegden was killed on 13 Nov 1916, he was the Husband of my 3rd cousin 3x removed Susannah Gertrude Bailey.

Herbert Kent, the son-in-law married Elizabeth Mount, 4th cousin 2x removed.

5th cousins 1x removed are Herbert Sidney Leslie Kent of the Naval Brigade, George Oliver Terry of the Kent Cycle Battalion and Alfred Terry, also of the Kent Cycle Battalion. Georgina Lilian Mount had married Joseph Terry.
